Read the book and then have fun making your own adorable yak craft with this free printable. Grab some yarn and some glue and download the printable to make your own little yak.
1. Print the printable. You can print it on colored paper or use white and color the yak in whatever color you like.
2. Cut the pieces out. Once you've got your yak the color you want, cut out all your pieces.
3. Add yarn to your yak's body. Wrap yarn loosely around the body of the yak until most of it is covered. Then, holding on to the yarn with your hand, cut along the bottom seam of the yarn to give it a shaggy edge. Secure the yarn to the yak using double-sided tape or glue.
4. Assemble the head. Glue your yak's little nose on. Glue the horns to the back of the head. Then cut a small fringe of yarn to give your yak some bangs. Secure those with a small piece of double-sided tape or glue.
5. Attach the head and legs to the body. Using your adhesive of choice, put four little legs under your yak's belly and the head just below the shoulders. You're done! Now have fun learning all about yaks and their habitat on Mount Everest.
